2:20 Galway: SIS Supporting Irish Racing Handicap Hurdle

Inthenickoftime Peter Smithers(5) · E Bolger

Inthenickoftime won last time out and was third two starts back, and he returns fresh after 29 days having run over today's trip and going before. Carrying 166 lb is a fair burden, but that recent form and fitness make him our pick.

Grandy Lane Keith Donoghue · Gavin Cromwell

Grandy Lane has experience of today's trip and going, and our rating has him second of eleven, so the ability is there on a 108 mark. The main risk is a poor recent run: pulled up last time, a faller before that, 132 days off and a yard cold at 2/45.

Quint Major Daniel King · M A Molloy

Fifth last time out and a fourth four starts back, Quint Major has run over today's trip and on this going before, and our rating of 112 ranks him fourth of 11 off an official mark of 103. The risk is 64 days off and 159 lb on his back, with him yet to win in his last five.

Figero Donagh Meyler · Thomas Mullins

Figero won three starts back and was fifth two runs ago, but he has been unplaced last time out and in two of his other recent outings, and returns after 35 days. He has run over today's trip and carries 157 lb off 101, while our rating ranks him sixth of eleven.

Just For One Michael Kenneally(5) · Daniel G Murphy

Just For One won last time out, but he's been off for 169 days and pulled up in two of the starts before that, so consistency is a question. He has run over today's trip and our rating of 104 ranks him fifth of 11, though 157 lb is a hefty burden.

Jay Jay Zee Conor Smithers(7) · Charlie Keegan

Our top-rated runner at 116 and a leading danger, Jay Jay Zee has run over today's trip and going and is fresh after 29 days, with a fourth four starts back his best recent finish. Yet to win lately and a faller two starts back, so bouncing back from that setback is the main risk.

Tradonthebay Danny Gilligan · Paul John Gilligan

Tradonthebay is yet to win in his last six starts, though a third three starts back and a second six starts back show he can get involved, and he has run over today's trip. Off 149 lb after 48 days off and an unplaced latest effort, he looks a midfield sort.

Bowgate Street Darragh O'Keeffe · M Flannery

Bowgate Street is winless in her last six, unplaced last time out after a pair of thirds, and she has run over today's trip and going before. Carrying 147 lb off 91 and ranked ninth of eleven on our figures, she is hard to fancy, though 17 days since her last run is no concern.

Kelly's Cosmos Phillip Enright · Eoin Christopher McCarthy

Kelly's Cosmos is winless in his last five, unplaced in each of the last three, though he's fresh enough after 11 days and has run over today's trip and going. A 144 lb burden and a yard in cold form (1/26) temper things, even with our rating of 104 ranking him seventh of 11.

Hello Garda Paddy Hanlon(5) · John Joseph Hanlon

Hello Garda was a fourth last time out, but he unseated two starts back and is a winner three starts back, so the form is patchy. Carrying 142 lb off 103, he is hard to fancy with our figures ranking him 10th of 11, though he has run over today's trip and is fresh after 16 days.

Max Time Tom Kelly(7) · I Madden

Max Time is winless in his last six, with two pulled-up efforts and a sixth two starts back as his best recent finish bar a fourth four starts back, and he was unplaced last time just eight days ago. He has run over today's trip and on this going, but carrying 140 lb off 72 he looks hard to fancy, and our figures rank him last of eleven.
